The majority of time is spent at Family Care Center (FCC) Evanston Hospital, our primary care clinic, and at Endeavor Health NorthShore Evanston Hospital which hosts our inpatient service. Residents also spend time at other Endeavor Health -- NorthShore sites, especially during the intern year, and may rotate at other clinical sites for select rotations.
This is our primary care clinic! The Family Care Center (FCC) Evanston Hospital is a brand new clinic serving patients in the greater Chicago area. This clinic houses our Family Medicine resident clinic along with psychiatry providers as well as Behavioral Health Care. The clinic is in close proximity to on-site laboratory and imaging.”
The Endeavor Health - NorthShore HealthSystem includes six hospitals in the greater Chicago area, along with multiple ambulatory care sites. These are the locations we visit and the rotations at each site:
Evanston Hospital – Family Medicine Inpatient service. Labor & Delivery, Inpatient Pediatrics, Newborn, outpatient Gynecology clinic. Pediatric, Internal Medicine, ObGyn, and Emergency Medicine residents from University of Chicago also rotate at this hospital.
Glenbrook Hospital – Emergency Medicine, ICU. Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents from University of Chicago, Cook County, and NorthShore also rotate at this hospital.
Other– On Cardiology, Surgery, and other subspecialty rotations you may spend some time at Skokie Hospital or Endeavor Health - NorthShore ambulatory sites depending on the schedule of your attending.
This is the main University of Chicago medical campus. You will rotate there on some of our 1-week subspecialty rotations. None of our core rotations are held at UCMC.
A nationally ranked pediatric acute care hospital in Chicago. You will rotate there for your Pediatric Emergency Medicine rotation. Pediatric and emergency medicine residents and fellows also rotate there.
