M3 Family Medicine Clerkship

The Family Medicine Core Clerkship is a 4-week rotation in which students work one-on-one in the outpatient setting with community family physician, engage in a lifestyle medicine curriculum, practice shared-decision making and motivational interviewing communication skills, practice important End of Life conversations with seniors at a local retirement facility and spend time every week volunteering with one of our many community agency partners.

Our clinical preceptors and their staff are committed to teaching future physicians. Our weekly didactic sessions also include key topics like Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, Integrative Approaches to Chronic Pain, Routine Health Maintenance (Preventative Medicine) to name a few.
