On a Mission for Nutrition is an organization that was formed to address the obesity disparity on the South Side of Chicago. The organization began as a project developed by first year medical students in the Health Care Disparities course at the Pritzker School of Medicine. On a Mission for Nutrition is an after-school program that educates 6-8th grade students about nutrition and empowers them to make healthy choices. Lesson plans are designed for this audience; however, they can be adapted to meet the needs of a wide variety of learners.
