The M4 Family Medicine Clerkship is designed to be a flexible one month outpatient family medicine clinical experience where fourth years are able to construct their own schedules. This has been an innovative way of helping the students organize an ever-changing interview season and also train the students in outpatient family medicine, prevention, shared-decision making, motivational interviewing and reflection as a way to increase awareness about the role of family physicians in the healthcare field and in relation to other specialties.
